Organize your files

Prepare a Mac project delivery folder you can actually check

The problem

A working project can contain drafts, assets and final files together. Compressing everything may send an old draft or internal note along with the intended delivery.

A practical answer

Separate the working area from the delivery area in GJ File Manager. Copy the selected files, then inspect the resulting collection; a file group is not an automatically assembled delivery package.

Step by step

  1. Create a clearly named Delivery folder and open it in its own tab.
  2. Copy the required files from their sources and inspect name conflicts rather than replacing blindly.
  3. Check each item against the delivery list: name, content, version and whether it opens.
  4. If an archive is needed, compress this checked folder, inspect the package and retain a copy of the delivery.

Know the limits

Equal file counts do not establish equal content. A comparison cannot decide client requirements, confidentiality or final approval for you.

Common question

Can I send a group as the attachment?

A group organizes access. Copy the actual files into a delivery folder, then use an appropriate sharing method.
