Organize music files on Mac without confusing them with streaming libraries

The problem

Recordings, backing tracks and audio exports often live in different folders. A song saved in a streaming library is not always an accessible audio file.

A practical answer

Use GJ File Manager's Music entry or an authorized audio folder to preview and copy local project material.

Step by step

  1. Open Music and choose an appropriate music source or custom folder.
  2. Authorize the folder that actually contains audio and let indexing finish.
  3. Identify a track by name, preview supported audio and check its duration.
  4. Copy the chosen track into your project while preserving the original.

Know the limits

Source views are read-only. They do not read protected streaming caches or remove DRM.

Common question

Why is a playlist track missing?

It may be a cloud entry or encrypted download. The view lists recognizable local audio files in the authorized directory.

Install or update through Apple's official listing. Check current pricing, in-app purchases, availability and system requirements there before downloading.
