Privacy Policy

This policy explains how GJ File Manager by GJ soft handles files, permissions, search sources, clipboard history, network credentials, support requests, and this public website.

Local-first app File browsing, workspace data, search indexes, and app settings are designed to stay on your device.
User-controlled access The app works with folders, Mail, Calendar, clipboard history, and network locations only when you use or authorize those features.
No tracking business GJ soft does not sell personal information and the app is not designed around advertising or third-party tracking.
Keychain credentials Network passwords are designed to be stored in Apple Keychain, not in the app's project database.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to GJ File Manager, also presented as GJfile or QTbar in some internal identifiers, for macOS and iPadOS, and to the public pages hosted at gjsoft.tech.

GJ File Manager is a native file productivity tool. It is built to manage files, folders, workspaces, previews, file groups, search, clipboard history, network entries, and permissions on the devices and locations you choose.

2. Information the app processes

Files, folders, and workspaces

When you open, authorize, preview, search, compare, copy, move, rename, delete, sync, or otherwise manage files, the app processes file and folder information needed for that workflow. This can include file names, paths, metadata, thumbnails, preview content, folder structure, and search matches inside locations you choose or authorize.

Local app records and settings

The app may store local records such as workspace names, remembered paths, file groups, favorite or grouped items, sort and display preferences, language and shortcut settings, clipboard retention preferences, search source preferences, and authorization state. These records are stored on your device using Apple platform storage such as UserDefaults, SwiftData, Application Support, and security-scoped bookmarks.

Clipboard history

If clipboard history is enabled or used, the app may read the system clipboard while the app is active and store recent clipboard entries locally so you can search, preview, restore, or drag them. Clipboard entries can include text, images, file references, and other supported pasteboard data. You can disable or clear clipboard history from the app's controls where available.

Mail and Calendar search sources

If you enable Mail search, the app asks you to choose the local Apple Mail data folder, normally your Mail library, so it can index local messages and attachment names for search. If you enable Calendar search, the app uses Apple's Calendar permission flow and may read local calendar titles, notes, dates, and related fields needed for search results.

Network locations and Spacedrive

If you configure network or remote locations, the app processes the connection information needed to list, search, preview, upload, download, rename, or delete remote files. Supported or modeled locations may include SMB, SFTP, FTP, FTPS, WebDAV, NFS, AFP, Dropbox, OneDrive, WPS, Baidu Netdisk, and Spacedrive. Data exchanged with those services is governed by the providers and servers you choose.

Network credentials

Network passwords are designed to be stored in Apple Keychain under the app's network-entry credential service. Connection records can include non-secret configuration details such as names, protocols, hosts, ports, paths, provider type, and related options.

3. Information GJ soft does not collect through the app

The app is not designed to send your file contents, folder contents, clipboard contents, Mail data, Calendar data, local search index, or network credentials to GJ soft servers. GJ soft does not operate an advertising profile, analytics profile, or account-based cloud storage service for this app.

The app may still communicate with locations you select, such as a network server, cloud folder, Spacedrive daemon, or provider endpoint. Those communications are part of the file workflow you configure.

4. Website, downloads, and support

When you visit gjsoft.tech, download a package, or load this policy, standard server logs may record operational information such as IP address, request URL, timestamp, user agent, referrer, and status code. These logs are used for security, reliability, debugging, and abuse prevention.

Product and download pages may also use Meta Pixel to understand page views and App Store button clicks from advertising campaigns. Meta may process browser and device information under its own terms and privacy policy. Privacy policy and privacy choice pages are kept outside the Pixel installation.

If you contact us at linquce@sosogeo.com, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, app version, device model, operating system version, screenshots, logs, or workflow details.

5. How information is used

  • To provide file management, browsing, preview, search, clipboard, sync, comparison, and network-location features.
  • To remember your workspaces, permissions, file groups, settings, and display preferences.
  • To store network credentials securely through Apple Keychain.
  • To respond to support emails, diagnose issues, maintain the website, and improve app reliability.
  • To comply with legal, security, and App Store operational obligations.

6. Sharing and third-party services

GJ soft does not sell personal information. We do not share your app data with advertisers. Data can be shared with third parties only when you choose a feature or system integration that requires it, for example:

  • Apple platform services such as Keychain, Calendar permissions, security-scoped bookmarks, Spotlight, Quick Look, file providers, and system pasteboard features.
  • Network servers, cloud providers, Spacedrive, or storage services that you configure in the app.
  • Your email provider and our email provider when you send a support message.
  • Infrastructure providers that host gjsoft.tech and process normal web server logs.

7. Retention and deletion

App data stored locally remains on your device until you remove it, clear the related feature data, revoke a permission, remove the app, or erase the device. Website logs and support emails are retained only as long as reasonably needed for security, support, legal, and operational purposes.

For practical controls, see User Privacy Choices.

8. Security

GJ File Manager uses Apple platform protections where appropriate, including sandbox permissions, security-scoped bookmarks, and Keychain-backed credential storage. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so you should only authorize folders and configure network locations that you trust.

9. Children

GJ File Manager is a productivity tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

10. Changes

We may update this policy when the app, website, legal requirements, or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.

11. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, contact GJ soft at linquce@sosogeo.com.
