Switching from Windows to Mac: build a familiar file workspace

Mac guide · GJ File Manager 2.98 · macOS 14+

The problem

Your projects have not changed, but finding their files suddenly feels unfamiliar. Start with stable places for everyday work rather than learning every shortcut at once.

A practical answer

Authorize a project folder in GJ File Manager, keep locations open in tabs, and organize related items with file groups. Finder remains available alongside it.

Step by step

  1. Choose Add in Workspaces and authorize one specific project folder.
  2. Open Documents and Delivery in separate tabs.
  3. Choose an icon, list or detail view, then preview a document.
  4. Check the displayed path before moving anything.

These guides cover the Mac app. iPad controls and available features can differ.

Common question

Must I import all my files?

No. A workspace accesses an authorized folder; it does not require uploading your project to a new cloud service.
