The problem
Identical names in different folders do not identify the correct delivery file. Its path tells you which location you are actually using.
A practical answer
Check a file’s full path with Get Info. Click the current folder path in GJ File Manager to copy that directory path.
Step by step
- Open the folder and read its displayed path.
- Click the current folder path to copy the directory location.
- For an individual file, choose Get Info from its context menu to read the full path.
- Paste the directory path into your notes and verify the parent location.
Know the limits
A local absolute path usually will not work on a colleague's computer and does not grant access.
