Use Mac clipboard history to recover a recent copied item

The problem

Copying new text replaces the current clipboard contents. Returning to the original source each time interrupts your work.

Step by step

1. Open history from the sidebar or your configured shortcut.
2. Search for sample text and confirm the item's type and content.
3. Copy the selected item, then paste in the destination application.
4. Review retention settings and clear records you no longer need.

Know the limits

Items that were never recorded, expired or were cleared may not be recoverable. Avoid retaining passwords or other sensitive content.

Does it work with the main window closed?

While the app is running, the global shortcut can open the standalone panel. The default is Control+1; your settings take precedence.
